Welcome to Apple City!
Fresh ingredients and better taste is what we strive for at Apple City Crepes. That's why we choose the freshest ingredients possible and partner with local vendors who do the same.
You can find us at Lansdale Farmers' Market every Saturday beginning opening day May 11th, 2024! Below are some of the crepes you can look forward to seeing regularly. Be sure to follow us on Instagram and like us on Facebook to see what specials we will have, as they change with the seasons. Suggestions are welcome and encouraged; if there's a crepe that you want to try, we would love to make it happen!
About Us
I grew up going to the Lansdale Farmers' Market. Not as a casual customer, looking for fresh produce or baked goods made from the heart, but as a vendor. I grew up on a fruit farm located right outside of Biglerville, PA, which is commonly known as Mickley's Orchards and Farm Market - A staple at the Lansdale Farmers Market. There, I fell in love with the market environment, and having the opportunity to engage in the local community.
I knew I always wanted to do my own thing, to create something, to be more than I was, but I wasn't sure what that calling was. It wasn't until I met Julie that I got introduced and exposure to baking. From there we started brainstorming of ways to take her passion and my drive, and start our own business. The end result - Apple City Crepes.
So here I am, back where it all began at Lansdale. Only this time with our own business, making fresh and delicious crepes. - Tyler
For as long as I can remember, I had always loved to bake. Throughout high school I took all of the cooking classes I could take, even the vo-tech program that was offered. As fun as cooking was, it didn't feel right, it just didn't feel like me. Cooking has too many variables, I craved the precision and creativity of baking.
After graduation, I enrolled in college at the Baking and Pastry Arts program at the Pennsylvania School of Culinary Arts - A Division of YTI Career Institute. My dad was the first person to try everything I had brought home, he was my biggest supporter (regardless if he liked the pastries or not). Unfortunately my dad passed away March 9th, 2020 and did't get to see me finish college. From that point forward, I swore I was going to do whatever it took to make him proud.
When I met Tyler, I had a crazy dream of wanting to start my own business and he had the crazier response of "Let's do it!". A little bit of blood, sweat, and tears later and here we are - Apple City Crepes! - Julie
